Description
Before Halloween came with tracking apps, group texts, and parents three feet behind you, Gen X hit the streets in 1982 with a costume, a flashlight, and vague instructions to be home by midnight.
We traveled in packs, crossed streets unsupervised, and knocked on every porch with a light on. Nobody knew exactly where we were. That was completely normal.
By the end of the night, masks were crooked, pillowcases were heavy, and somebody had lost part of their costume eight blocks back.
This retro design celebrates Halloween 1982 — when freedom was standard equipment and supervision was somebody else’s problem.
